Erica Stefanko – murder of Ashley Biggs

This trial was instigated after new evidence had emerged, tied to the murder of Ashley Nicole Biggs on June 20, 2012. Chad Cobb, the father of Ashley's daughter, has already pled guilty and been convicted of aggravated murder and kidnapping charges. 

During a custody battle, Chad had lured Ashley to a secluded location by having a pizza ordered, where he could overpower the mother of his daughter without any witnesses.

Now prosecutors in Summit County, Ohio allege that Cobb's then-wife Erica Stefanko, was a willing participant and accomplice in the murder, making the call for the pizza delivery that resulted in Ashley's death. 

This trial took place at the Summit County Court of Common Pleas, Rittman, Ohio. November 2020. Stefanko was sentenced to life imprisonment.
